Revising Assignments for Responsible AI Use

Methods:

60-minute interactive workshop with guided demonstrations, collaborative critiques of AI-generated content, and assignment redesign exercises

Description:

This session equipped faculty to adapt their assignments in ways that encourage deeper analysis and higher-order thinking while addressing the role of generative AI in student learning. Participants practiced evaluating AI-generated content, discussed strategies for guiding responsible AI use, and redesigned existing assignments to better promote critical engagement and AI literacy.

Outcomes:

Faculty left with revised assignments or actionable strategies to integrate responsible AI use into their teaching.
